- Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School integrates technology into the curriculum. Students explore state-of-the-art technology through graphic design, mass media and electronic production, musical keyboarding and a hands-on daily news show.

- Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School's goals are to: plan collaboratively for the total integration of technology into the core curriculum; improve skills in the areas of information access, critical thinking, and communication; challenge students to think analytically, develop digital portfolios, and incorporate project-based learning.

- All rising kindergarten and elementary students are eligible for admission. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spaces, the school will use a lottery-based selection process.
