Program Description
Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School integrates technology into the curriculum. Students explore state-of-the-art technology through graphic design, mass media and electronic production, musical keyboarding and a hands-on daily news show.
Program Mission/Goals
Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School's goals are to: plan collaboratively for the total integration of technology into the core curriculum; improve skills in the areas of information access, critical thinking, and communication; challenge students to think analytically, develop digital portfolios, and incorporate project-based learning.
Program Attendance Requirements
All rising kindergarten and elementary students are eligible for admission. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spaces, the school will use a lottery-based selection process.

Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School is a NASA Explorer School. It is also an Intel Schools of Distinction National Award recipient and a SMART Technologies Showcase School.

Forest Lake Elementary Technology Magnet School's philosophy is that by integrating technology into the curriculum, academic performance and skills will reach a new level of excellence. The school's instructional programs encourage students to question, discover and make connections throughout the curriculum.
